City of Detroit Countersues Black Lives Matter Protesters

Dan Bongino-

The city of Detroit countersued Black Lives Matter protesters, alleging the group incited riots and destroyed public property. This comes after the city themselves had been sued by BLM protesters.

From the Washington Examiner:

Detroit’s suit alleges that demonstrators who participated in the racial justice protests this summer were a part of a “civil conspiracy” in which they attempted “to disturb the peace, engage in disorderly conduct, incite riots, destroy public property,” and resist police orders, among other “illegal acts.” The suit was filed in September, about a month after activists filed their own suit, alleging Detroit police officers “repeatedly responded with violence,” according to the Intercept.

The lawsuit resulted in a judge issuing a temporary order limiting the city’s police officers from using striking weapons, chemical agents, and rubber bullets against demonstrators, medical support personnel, and legal observers.”

The city’s suit counters that the protests were not protected under the First Amendment because “the protests in Detroit have repeatedly turned violent, endangering the lives of police and the public.”

In a September Fox News interview, Craig argued that the demonstrations in Detroit were not typical protests: keep reading

  1. The BLM protests in Detroit were relatively small. Their were probably 120 protesters (mostly fat white bitches) at any given time vs. 60 cops and undercovers. The cops also downloaded the app that the BLMer’s were using, so they knew exactly where they were going and what they were planning in real-time… pretty comical.

  2. The above info was provided 1st hand from a close family member, who was one of the under covers. With a protestor to cop ratio of 2-1, had it turned violent the cops could have shut it down within minutes

Shouldn’t be a civil suit, should be a passel of RICO indictments.

    Agreed.

While I’ve used passel, appropriately, many times in my life, I wanted to check on it’s etymology. Where it came from.

Learned a bit more from it and glad I did look.

    Passel and Parcel

The loss of the sound of “r” after a vowel and before another consonant in the middle of a word is common in spoken English. This linguistic idiosyncrasy has given our language a few new words, such as cuss from curse, bust from burst, and our featured word passel from parcel. The spelling passel originated in the 15th century, but the word’s use as a collective noun for an indefinite number is a 19th-century Americanism. It was common primarily in local-color writing before getting a boost in the 1940s, when it began appearing in popular weekly magazines such as Time, Newsweek, and Saturday Review.

I had no idea that parcel was an equivalent for it. Never would have guessed that. Just accepted it for what it means today.

  4. So in other words, the lawsuit representing BLM against the city actually identified a group of “plaintiffs “ who were responsible for the destruction, thereby enabling the city to sue that group for damages! Lucky for us BLM is not too very smart.

  5. President Elect Dadof4, you are so right! Working with student essays, I saw a myriad of words that I had to look up. Golly if some of them were actually words (many weren’t)!

My nerdness is pleased with your research. Thank you! 😉
