Just The News-
An important sea change has taken place in the United States’ $136 trillion real estate market. It stands to impact nearly everyone buying or selling a home. And it’s due to a game-changing lawsuit against the National Association of Realtors. Consumers face new rules designed for their benefit. But the overhauled system and the fallout are still being figured out.
Jared Breit helped spark the real estate revolution. He joined a class action lawsuit challenging the longstanding fee structure of the entire U.S. real estate system.
“When I sold my home in St. Louis, which was a huge part of this case, I just remember saying, ‘Why am I paying someone who I’ve never met before 3%?’” Breit recalls in an interview with “Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson.” more

When the 40% home value correction happens again we’ll be on the hook for bailing out the banks, again. But you saved 3%. So there’s that.
Realtors are among the lowest form of life on planet Earth, only behind lawyers and politicians. I recently sold two properties that my sister and I inherited from our parents. A long list of buyers were beating our door down to buy each property before we were even ready to sell. We didn’t need a realtor to market them for us. All we needed was a realty lawyer to draw up contracts for the sales after we negotiated a price with the buyers. A family ‘friend’ who was a realtor assumed we’d use her to sell our properties, but we just did it on our own without her knowledge or involvement. It pretty much wrecked the friendship, which was a good indication of the basis of the friendship. We saved megabucks in undeserved reality commissions and fees. It’s the title company who does virtually all of the paperwork and we were happy to pay them a reasonable fee for their work. Too many ‘realtors’ have become used to the sham system of collecting huge amounts of commission for driving clients around to show homes and BS buyers. They are famous for steering buyers to homes that maximize commission for the realtor instead of giving the buyer choices they really want. I once overheard two female realtors discussing how they were intentionally pushing homes in a certain neighborhood to black clients because they claimed it would trigger a rush by others in that neighborhood to sell and create more business for themselves. It happened to be the neighborhood I grew up in. It was a wonderful place to raise a family back then. Today, it is like a damn warzone. To hell with realtors!
If the DOJ wants to help Americans then get Black Rock, Vanguard and States Street out of the residential real estate business entirely!
If the ‘Law’ belongs to everyone…then why do we pay lawyers hundreds or even thousands of dollars an hour for access to what rightly already belong to us?
