Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell squashed two bills intended to ensure voting security on Thursday, just one day after former special counsel Robert Mueller warned that Russians were attempting to sabotage the 2020 presidential elections “as we sit here.”

This does seem to look a little bit odd.
When Trump is announced President next week the first order of business is to announce the formation of the “America Party” and leave assholes like McConnell, Graham and Romney high and dry.
The swamp needs to be emptied.
Not unexpected. Mitch doesn’t have the imagination to understand what’s going to happen. He thinks everything will just proceed as if Trump never was president and the gravy train will start rolling again. Smooching democrat asses isn’t going to get him anywhere anymore. The Newsweek article was written to influence the runoff election in Georgia by painting Republican leadership in a bad light. Not much effort needed there. Still, it is a distortion of the facts. No surprise there.
They were Democrat bills. If the title reads Election Security then it either has nothing to do with election security or it is filled with so many riders that it should never make it onto the agenda.
Mitch is a squishy sleazeball and will betray us all in the end, he is a Republican and a Senator after all, but he was right in this instance, if perhaps only half-right.
Its almost like he is married to an agent of the Chinese government.
