Saturday Night Live and the Simpsons are like GM and the Bank of America. They are considered to be “too big to fail.” It is almost like the network people think it would be the end of the world if those two shows were canceled.
The ratings of those shows are so low they are lost in the noise, but there are so many options to watch now that no one can really tell that hardly anyone is watching.
People will argue over which season of SNL/which cast ensemble was the best, but no one will dispute that this beast has been suffering for years and should have been put down long ago.
SNL is still on the air just so morning news shows can show clips of them. The show is on for 90 minutes so that MAYBE there will be a 30 second clip that MIGHT be a little funny.
The last funny SNL bunch was the early to mid 90s with Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Norm McDonald, Dennis Miller etc…
It turned to crap when that doofus Will Ferrell came on. I never thought he was funny.
Comedy: Comedian says something funny. Audience laughs.
Woke Comedy:
“Trump is orange Hitler… BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhaaa!!!… Why aren’t you laughing with me?!!!… You must be nazis too!!! Fuck you!!!… You racist don’t appreciate what’s funny at all because you’re too stupid!!!”

The first 10-15 seasons of The Simpsons were good. Now not so much
The funniest thing on television is anytime a prominent democrat speaks. Dark humor sure but outrageously funny every time. Professional comedians stand no chance against these hysterical amateurs.
