Bounding into Comics
Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star John Cleese has drawn the ire of the Left-wing outrage mob after announcing that he will be the host of an as-of-yet unnamed ‘free speech show’ on the anti-woke GB News channel set to air later this year.
The announcement was actually made by Cleese himself during an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Today show, wherein the renowned comedian asserted, “The nice thing about talking to the GB News audience is that they may not be used to hearing the sort of things I’ll be saying.”
“The only thing is… the BBC won’t come to me and say, ‘Would you like to have some one-hour shows?’” He elaborated. “And if they did I would say, ‘Not on your nelly!’ because I wouldn’t get 5 minutes into the first show before I’d been cancelled or censored.”
As soon as the Monty Python actor made those comments, Today host Amol Rajan – seemingly moving to abruptly end their interview – reminded the comedian that their network gave him an uncensored platform five full minutes – something that Cleese would later claim was not true. more
Long story short…..
The liberal, commie, democrats hate facts and will blindly avoid them.
I’ve always been a huge Python fan, but I remember about 14-15 years ago Cleese went public to ridicule Sarah Palin like a good libtard. I guess his new epiphany is causing him to do a Silly Walk-back…
@Rickey
True, but most people deserve a second or even a third chance.
Many liberals are truly evil poison snakes that deserve only a machete chop to the guts. Meathead Rob Reiner is one, Ron Perlman is another.
Actually, snakes are far better – magnificent creatures designed by God. Liberals are not God’s creation.
The comments are something else. People are mad because he doesn’t want to conform to BBC censors. They’re sticking up for BBC deciding what everyone should be allowed to see and hear.
So comfortable with that “safe” tyranny.
Glad Cleese came around though. We used to watch Monty Python on PBS. They wouldn’t touch it with a 10 ft pole nowadays.
They wouldn’t touch it with a 10 ft pole nowadays.
And that’s really the point. People like Clease should be able to speak openly without the risk of being censored simply because they don’t back the State agenda.
