Congress is probing Chinese automakers over concerns that electric cars sold in the United States could be used by the Chinese government for “nefarious purposes” such as data collection, spying on American citizens through in-car cameras, and remotely hijacking vehicles.

Senators Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) and Gary Peters (D., Mich.), chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, in a letter on Wednesday asked Chinese automakers to disclose any ties they have to the Chinese government.

  1. Well… China already has many direct contacts with our government, so…. And, anyone that knowingly purchases a Chinese auto is already suspect, or has no influence and is not interesting to the Chinks.

  2. …electric cars sold in the United States could be used by the Chinese government for “nefarious purposes”…

Wouldn’t it make more sense to simply take it as given that in every exchange or dealing with the ChiComs they will fuck you in the ass, steal your wallet, and run over you with your own car on their way, laughing maniacally, back home?

  3. Gary Peters (D., Mich.) is a worthless piece of crap. He’s been a senator for Michigan since 2015, but this is the first time his name has been spoken regarding anything. He’s a lazy do-nothing Dem who only surfaces when he needs to be re-elected.
