And the conclusion is we should….?
Read the article. He made some interesting points, but still to be consistent as the conservative Libertarian that I am, I disagree.
interesting points aren’t actions
Not that interesting it’s basically that conservatives should STFU about the government forcing bakers to bake a cake or that a restaurant or movie theater can suspend your civil rights to accommodate their property rights.
But when it comes to Twitter or Facebook then you are a pretend victim and should STFU about that ’cause Muh Principles – haha. So says their spokesperson. They are flicking you off to your fucking face if you use their platform.
frankly, I agree w/ the author’s conclusion …
“Twitter has declared that “without Net Neutrality in force, ISPs would even be able to block content they don’t like,” without any hint of self-awareness. If Big Tech thinks other corporations censoring speech is a problem, conservatives should as well.
Defending social media censorship does nothing to further the cause of limited government. It benefits corporations whose only interest in limited government is to cynically exploit that ideal to protect their own interests.
Corporate America leans left and has little tolerance for right-wing views. Upholding the right of Twitter and Facebook to censor would only encourage more businesses to do the same.”
