Convenience Chain Sells $1.99 Gas For Thanksgiving Week

Daily Wire: Convenience store chain Sheetz will begin selling unleaded gasoline at $1.99 per gallon in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The special price will be available from November 21 through November 28 at every location that sells Unleaded 88 gasoline. The company is headquartered in Pennsylvania and also has stores in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina.

“Sheetz is a family owned and operated company and we are always looking for ways to help the communities we serve,” CEO Travis Sheetz said in a statement. “We are excited to extend this offer to our customers as many of them start hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday.”

The promotion occurs as the national average price for gasoline reaches $3.64 per gallon, according to data from AAA, marking an approximately 53% increase since President Joe Biden assumed office at the beginning of last year. Average prices are $4.01 per gallon in Pennsylvania and $3.41 per gallon in Virginia. more

  1. They only have the “Unleaded 88” at select stores.
Go figure – there are none within 100 miles of me.
It’s a gimmick to get people to the pump and then realize it’s not available at that station but they have to buy gas because the tank is almost empty.
Sheetz is typically a few cents per gallon cheaper than everyone else, so most people will just shrug and fill up anyway.

  2. Didn’t Shell have 81 RON in the 90s? It was some kind of dogshit for people like me who had no sense and got our petrol money out of couches and under car seats. I put that shit in a Chebby Celebrity and fucking ruined it.

  3. Do not run more than 10% ethanol in your small engines (lawnmowers, snowblower, etc) as you will harm them. I repair them daily for carburator issues, deterioration of fuel lines and parts. I further suggest avoiding ethanol altogether and if you can get recreational fuel (ethanol free) in your area use that instead. The extra you pay for rec fuel will save you in the long run.
