Conwoman accused of stealing $100 million from U.S. Army freed without bail

Who exactly is Mello? She’s a 56-year-old woman who worked as a civilian financial program manager at Fort Sam Houston when she devised a plot to steal money from the Army.

  1. I knew as soon as I read “released without bail” that she was a POC (Guamanian). And then this:
“She reportedly obtained millions by falsifying the digital signatures of one of her bosses on several occasions.” And yet only one charge of identity theft. And nobody thought to audit Ft Sam Huston in 7 friggin years? No wonder the pentagon can’t find trillions in lost funds. Someone including this bitch needs to hang. No accountability.

  2. There is a US Army Audit organization. The auditors must have been sleeping on the job, or got paid to hide evidence, or maybe the auditors are just incompetent. Maybe all three.
