NBC : A woman set herself on fire in a suicide attempt Tuesday afternoon at U.S. Rep. Danny K. Davis’ West Side office, authorities said.
About 3 p.m., the 43-year-old woman entered the office at 2746 W. Madison St. She drank hand sanitizer, poured it on herself and set herself on fire in an attempt to kill herself, according to Chicago police. She suffered burns and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. MORE
If this had happened in a Republican’s home office, the media would have him carrying on an affair,
the woman was a love interest of Rep. Philander (R).
I like how they don’t mention anywhere in the article he’s a democrat. Not because he had anything to do with the woman setting herself on fire but because if he were a republican, NBC would have a fit of Tourettes saying ‘republican’.
The Feds are going to make Chicago their little anti-gun testing ground. And I mean raids and confiscation even from legal owners.
They mean she was smoking crack
Should have done it in Hillary’s office. And then give her a big hug. Don’t know if that bullet-proof burlap coat is flame proof, but it would be fun to watch.
Sounds like the next thing Chicago needs to ban is the illegal drinking of hand sanitizer. It could’ve been worse, it could’ve been Sterno!
If I were in a democrat’s office, I’d drink hand sanitizer and try to commit suicide by lighting myself on fire too.
Please, Lord, do not send a copycat into New York City Family Court. I couldn’t deal.
MJA — not only is he a Democrat, he is an admitted, card carrying communist. …and he’s my congresscreature. I live way east of him off of Lake Shore Drive, but the way they muck up the districts here, there is no way we can vote him out. He definitely doesn’t represent my interests of those of my neighbors. His office is in the Chicato West Side ghetto — the worst of the worst. A quote from him: “We don’t worry much about security,” he said. “I’ve been in a storefront office in Chicago on the West Side for over 40 years. That’s the only way to really be of value and service. We’re basically part of the hood.”
Not my hood.
All she remembered from her younger days was “Doors” and “Light My Fire.”
