Corey Stewart Alleges A New York Times Reporter Broke Into Staffer’s Apartment

DC:Senatorial candidate Corey Stewart (R-Va.) alleges that a New York Times reporter broke into his campaign staffer’s apartment earlier this week.

NY Times reporter Stephanie Saul went to the Virginia home of part-time staffer Brian Landrum on Wednesday. Landrum was not home, according to a spokesperson for Stewart that spoke to TheDC, but a houseguest was startled when they heard someone call, “Hello?” from inside the apartment.

The houseguest claimed she saw the intruder leave a note for Landrum and then leave the apartment. The houseguest later positively identified Saul as the person she saw inside the apartment.

A New York Times spokesperson contradicted Stewart’s spokesperson, telling The Washington Post that Saul never entered the apartment.

According to the NY Times account, the houseguest answered the door for Saul and then took the note requesting the interview with Landrum. Saul left without ever entering the premises, NY Times says.  more here

  1. What’s the truth? We’ll never know. Sadly, Republican Party of Virginia and all the deep pocket establishment republicans have abandoned Stewart and have ceded the senate race to Timmy Kaine.

I haven’t, but my small contribution isn’t going to make up the difference. The only hope we have is that Timmy has generated the hatred for himself that he rightly deserves.

What a piece of shit Kaine is.

  2. what’s this ‘alleged’ bullcrap?
the dem reporter illegally entered into the residence, left a message, which established her illegal entrance

if it were you, or I, we’d be facing serious prosecution
.. getting tired of this double-standard for libtards

  3. Purely speculation here, but I have a suspicion that democrats voted as republicans in the primary to bring forth a candidate who is labeled as a bit wacko, with questionable alliances.

Nick Freitas would have been a stronger candidate and democrats knew it.

Do I have any evidence? No. Have I researched it? No. Is this my first rodeo and would I put it past democrats? No.

Sneaky Timmy has a history. Launching a primary whisper campaign to lob up an easy opponent is not unfathomable.

That RPV and the bigwig party bosses would fall for such a ruse would be predictable and business as usual.

  4. Phenry,

The polling staff handed me a Democratic ballot at the primary. I could easily have used it, but it was like they handed me toilet paper. I made a big stink. 😀

    Good call.

  5. Sounds like a repeat of “The Pentagon Papers”. When America haters break the law it is called (by the American hating LSM) patriotic?
The NYT has been sleaze personified for over 100 years. Based on their history I think they did it – even though I really do uotknow the facts of this case/
But 100 years of facts clearly show the NYT to at best be America hating “upright” folk, at worst America hating gangsters!
