American Lookout: Florida Democrat Corrine Brown was tried for corruption after it was revealed she was running a fake charity which was supposed to benefit children. It turned out it mostly benefited Brown. Now she’s asking a judge not to send her to jail.

First Coast News in Florida reports:

Corrine Brown pleads for mercy, prosecutors ask for prison time

Former Jacksonville area Congresswoman Corrine Brown took the stand Thursday afternoon, pleading for mercy from federal judge Timothy Corrigan.

I am sorry you have to be here today to see me in this situation,” Brown said in her statement to the court. “I never imagined I would one day be in court asking people to speak on my behalf – never. In hindsight, I wished I had been more diligent in overseeing my personal and professional life The idea that some people could believe these charges hurt me because it runs contrary to everything I’ve ever believed and done in my life. I hope and pray these proceedings to don’t make them [ordinary people] lose faith in the system. I humbly ask for mercy and compassion.”

    She should be executed.
    Using her position and authority to enrich herself is beyond tolerable, and if we’re to see this practice diminished, we must approach it seriously.
    What could be more serious than making corruption a capital offense?
    What could say “I stand against corruption” more than a politician voting FOR capital punishment for corruption, and the “judges” upholding it?

    If we’re to NOT become Venezuela, Cuba, or Fragistan, we need to take corruption seriously.

  14. Lazlo wishes he had diplomatic immunity.
    I would exercise my 1st amendment rights by wig snatching these old black frauds while they are on camera.
    Then I would have the hair on that wig tested to determine the nationality of the hair donor (hint: Asian), then berate them for their cultural appropriation

Then they fork over bundles of embezzled money to buy spendy wigs to make themselves look white. Do their constituents fall for it?   18. Jackson-Lee admitted to doing something similar – she awarded scholarships meant for deserving blacks to her family members. She said she didn’t realize her own well to do family wasn’t eligible.

    Mad Max Waters was known as the most corrupt member of congress. A 3 year ethics investigation found she used bad judgement but didn’t cross the line when she (through grandson chief of staff) had the government intervene to keep her husband’s corrupt bank solvent with a multimillion dollar infusion of taxpayer money.

    Each CBC member has some racket going but they’re untouchable because they’re black.

    Glad this one got caught and prosecuted. Let her rot in jail and go after the others.

  26. Playing crazy or the victim. That’s the go to strategy for the left when they get into trouble. Really praying Gater Corrine goes to prison. Things will get real when prison officials confiscate her wig hat.
