Cracker Barrel CEO Says She Felt ‘Fired by America’ After Redesign Flop

Breitbart-

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Masino said she feels like she was “fired by America” after receiving backlash for the restaurant chain’s sterile remodeling design.

Masino made the comment during an interview with The Blaze’s Glenn Beck on Thursday, a few months after the company’s decision to halt the remodeling of its restaurants and maintain its traditional branding in response to widespread customer feedback.

“This is probably very unfair to ask you. Were you surprised you weren’t fired?” Beck asked.

“Um, I feel like I’ve been fired by America,” Masino said.

“That’s probably worse,” Beck replied.  MORE

  1. Well she had a learning moment, but as a CEO her learning moments should be well behind her.
That’s why she should be fired. There’s too much at risk to be putting a novice in charge!

  2. I’ve never been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant and I frankly don’t understand why anyone would care a fig about a chain restaurant. Great steak house? Sure. Best place for a great piece of fish? You bet. But usually these places are worth the expense and they never have more than a couple of locations, are locally-owned, etc. And these locally-owned restaurants live or die by the quality of their ingredients, preparation, and treatment of their customers.

I’m sick to death of being part of an algorithm, and in which I am measured by metrics like “customer experience”. Why does everything have to be an “experience”? And if I truly am a “guest” and not a “customer”, why won’t Cracker Barrel pick up my check. I don’t make my guests pay for their meals. This is the worst kind of corporate hucksterism.

  3. …Oh, and the DEI crap. That’s just a non-starter, right there. I’m not paying extra for their low-bar hiring plans. and I don’t need a side of Social Justice with my meal.

  4. The reason she wasn’t fired is because she is a woman.

Not to sound sexist (don’t really care) but a woman CEO, 9 times out of ten, is a harbinger of doom. Two that readily come to mind (lost money on both) is Marisa Mayer and Carly Fiorina. The CEO of AMD is a woman and kicking ass, but she is Asian, not the product of our woeful university system.

  5. We go to a local restaurant that really does it right. Every patron/table gets a fresh, linen tablecloth, great service and wonderful food. We’ve been going there for over 30years and never had a complaint. Prices are a shade over average, but it’s well worth it!

  6. Is it some new part of the executive MBA curriculum now to use investor funds to brainwash your company’s customer base into key components of globalist shitlibbery: faggotry, climate cultism, and anti-white racism?

The ABA wasn’t on the same page, there’d be a tidy investor lawsuit in this case as with Budweiser, Harley Davidson, and so many other retarded CEOs out in the market.

  7. Why is she still there? She obviously can’t diagnose the problem, identify a solution or implement any corrective action. Just cashing a huge paycheck and accomplishing nothing.

Cracker Barrel must like being a cluster fest

  8. Yeah. She was.
I have stock and I voted against her and two others were responsible for the rebranding. They sent a special pamphlet with share holders info trying to justify what was done. Sorry, I want her fired.

  9. JDHasty, I get it. Cracker Barrel is in self-destruct mode on purpose or by delusion. Apparently, their customers and shareholders don’t really matter to the Board of Directors. They need to fire that woketard CEO and crew ASAP before it’s too late.
