Populist Press: Parler CEO John Matze announced late Wednesday that he has been terminated as the company’s CEO.
Matze said that the Parler board on Jan. 29 decided to terminate his position, adding that he did not participate in the decision.
Dan Bongino, a conservative media personality and Parler investor, in a Facebook video disputed Matze’s version of events surrounding his termination.
“Let me be crystal clear on this. He [Matze] makes two points, that ‘oh I was a big advocate for free speech it was my vision’ and “I was a big advocate for product stability.’ That is not true. That is not true. That is false,” Bongino said, referring to the memo. MORE

Starts around minute 3:45 but he doesn’t get to the point until after the 7 minute mark. The complaint Bongino has is that Matze wanted to clamp down on free speech at Parler and everyone else didn’t.

Sorry folks. Bongino is bullshitting here. Whatever the dispute among the founders, he had to know that Parler intended that it’s branding be free speech but the wanna-be Big Techie really was planning on being a “conservative” flavor of the same-old data gathering and selling operation. Bongino was in there as the fake cred. Matze wasn’t merely any CEO but a founder. And the Mercers provided money.

I just joined Spreely last week. Still getting used to it. I think it’s a little like Twitter and Facebook combined, but not sure since I don’t do Facebook.

One weird thing (this might be the Facebook kind of thing) you can ‘friend’ people. I got a friend request from Joe Dan, so I clicked yes, then started getting more. I stopped at 5 because I’m not there to make friends or to chat (weird feature … probably just me). I’m there to market iOTWr. I cut and paste our posts there to get more traffic. I have been doing that with Twitter since Fur was kicked off. Doing it for Gab, too.

my 2 cents. Bongo is playing everyone. Parler was there to make money but it sucked at it. It was supposed to be easy/simple to operate by i got headaches hashtagging everything, it was a pita to operate. Getting quite fed up trying to track which rino is not lying to us.
