  1. Not a fan of The Nutcracker or ballet. I’ll sum it up for ya. The Rat gets it. Curtain.

Yeah, I know, to quote Paul Simon from A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNamara’d Into Submission, “The man ain’t got no culchah.”

  2. My mother made me take 2 years of ballet when I was around 8 years old and I can tell you this stuff is hard. This little ballerina makes it look so easy. Unfortunately, you can only be a ballerina for a few years then you end up teaching or something. There are no endorsements like Olympic sports. After all that work you just fade into anonymity — unless your name is Fontaine or Nureyev.

  3. I for one, enjoyed it! I developed an appreciation for the classical arts fro my Dad and for a few minutes, travelled back in time to childhood. Everything was new and innocent and Christmas was a special time. The Nutcracker is a representation of the pinnacle of Western Civilization. Something I will miss, when the forces of social justice finally take over.

Thanks MJA! Have a Wonderful Christmas!
