  1. Why does it take a “deal” for one department of the federal government to share needed information with another department of the federal government? Should they not be all working together? Name one business that does this!

  2. Social Security and the IRS work hand in hand and KNOW who is using a false SSA number. All they need to do is hand that information over to Tom Homan and let that dog hunt. Like efemdy says WTF needs a deal?….

  3. Perhaps, as an old corporate warrior, I can explain the need for negotiations. It’s a turf war. Does ICE get unsupervised access to the entire IRS data base so they can go fishing? Does the IRS only respond to inquires from ICE or are they obligated to report ‘suspicious’ activity (say duplicate SSN numbers or people having payroll deductions but never filing a return)?

There’s a lot to work out.
