BPR: An Iranian-American journalist named Masih Alinejad fearlessly recounted to CNN the details of a man caught by police outside her home with a rifle, who was allegedly trying to gain access and assassinate her for the Islamic Republic.
She slammed the Iranian government for purportedly sending their goons after her a second time. Alinejad was targeted in an alleged kidnapping conspiracy that was planned and carried out by Iranian intelligence on American soil last year according to Mediaite. The Iranian government has denied the accusation.
Police arrested Khalid Mehdiyev last week after he was put under surveillance for two days due to suspicious behavior outside the journalist’s home in Brooklyn. Alinejad is a women’s rights activist and an outspoken critic of the Islamic Republic.
The complaint filed in the Federal District Court in Manhattan asserts Mehdiyev was driving without a license and investigators found a loaded AK-47 assault rifle, spare ammunition, and $1,100 in $100 bills after they searched his car according to the Washington Post. The rifle’s serial number had been removed, but markings on the weapon suggested it was manufactured by Norinco, which is owned by the Chinese government. MORE
Norinco?… The K-Mart of arms dealing.
TheMule, actually the norinco ak’s are one of the best made ak’s out there.
…and inexpensive. Even the Chinese couldn’t foul up that good design.
