Dawnna Dukes reportedly blew $51 thousand taxpayer dollars on an online psychic.
Surprised the psychic didn’t tell her this was going to happen!
The next time Democrats talk about how much they care about “important” issues, remember that they’d rather spend $51K on psychic scams than spend it to help the homeless.

I’ve read a handful of news accounts of this fraud, and although I have no interest at all in defending her in any way, it isn’t clear that the $51K she paid the psychic was directly from taxpayers. It seems the info about the psychic came from the prosecutors who have charged her with a number of (other) crimes but they didn’t say whether the $51K came from public funds or from Dawnna’s personal funds. Maybe there’s been an update I haven’t seen. I don’t know.
However, money is the ultimate fungible asset. If she’s been ripping the taxpayers off to get paid fraudulently and then put that money in her bank account, and then paying for things from her account, that’s the moral equivalent, if not the legal equivalent, of paying that psychic from public funds.
