Conservative Brief: It is becoming more of a challenge for President Joe Biden to issue his vaccine mandates now that there are even some Democrats who oppose them.
Democrat Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly spoke against the vaccine mandates on Friday saying she did not think they are correct or effective.
“Yesterday, I reviewed the new vaccine mandate from the Biden administration. While I appreciate the intention to keep people safe, a goal I share, I don’t believe the directive is the correct, or the most effective solution for Kansas. States have been leading the fight against COVID-19 from the start of the pandemic. It is too late to impose a federal standard now that we have already developed systems and strategies that are tailored for our specific needs. I will seek a resolution that continues to recognize the uniqueness of our state and builds on our ongoing efforts to combat a once-in-a-century crisis,” she said.
The decision by the governor could be based on politics as she is in a state that tends to be Republican, but it comes as some Republican senators have vowed to block funding for the mandates.
A group of Republican senators led by Maryland Sen. Roger Marshall sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader and New York Sen. Charles Schumer vowing to block any funding of the mandate. more here

I read where the Democrat Governors Association is no longer backing anyone trying to run against DeSantis. It’s looking more like they’re begging him to do a seminar on how to be a real Governor.
She’s a democrat governor in a very red state. She has no other option than to push back on the unconstitutional mandate.
