The coveted endorsement of one of the most despicable race baiters in history will be highly sought by the contestants vying for the nomination, and this is bad news for old white guys like Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, with the clear advantage going to Kamala Harris and Spartacus Booker who share Sharpton’s melanin content if not his ideas. Reverend Al has made a career of racial incitement, once calling Jews ‘diamond merchants’ and described whites moving businesses into Harlem as ‘interlopers. I look out across the street and here comes Sharpton walking with his bodyguard, apparently back from a dinner down the street. They look both ways and dart through oncoming traffic. A Crystal Springs Water truck slams on brakes, barely missing the faux civil rights icon.
Everyone in the bar saw it and laughed.
I think of all we would have missed if that truck had made contact – his Trayvon shit-stirring racist presentations- his award-winning tv show, his numerous White House visits with stink-O, etc.
Times would be so different today.
And I bet that truck driver has a good story to tell.
