Democrats fume over new plan to house illegal migrants in New Jersey, Indiana military bases

FOX:
Military bases in both New Jersey and Indiana will soon be used by Homeland Security to house illegal immigrants, drawing a furious response from Democratic lawmakers.

Parts of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey and Camp Atterbury in Indiana will be repurposed and used as “temporary soft-sided holding facilities,” the Defense Department told Fox News Digital, citing a decision by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

New Jersey Democrats blasted the decision, warning it would harm military readiness and urging Republicans to join them in helping reverse it. Both bases were previously used to house thousands of Afghan refugees following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. more

  1. Millions crossing our borders illegally certainly overwhelmed unprepared communities, strained tax coffers, schools, streets, hospitals, jails, courts, etc and yet the Dems were conspicuously silent. Nos they are concerned about the military’s preparedness? Sure, Jan.

  2. This goes back a long, long ways. I’d love to find the posting Fur did about the effects of multi-culturalism. Multi-culturalism (another Marxist idea) was a main tenet of the oblowme plan; to bust gaping holes in the fabric of a an American union that was built on assimilation. oblowme’s third term with that sock puppet biden, would have worked, too, if not for POTUS Trump and the millions who voted for him.

There is no point in pointing out that other groups have been housed in tents at various times. Do we think the Dems are gonna say, “Oh, yeah, you’re right. So sorry for bringing it up.” No. But we can rejoice that they show no signs of digging their hole. Keep on digging Dems! ’26 will be here very soon! The flip-flopping hypocrisy will be breath-taking and provide more than enough fodder for our mid-term ads.
