Democrats scramble to block far-left takeover in New York

FOX:
Republicans pounce, moderates panic as socialist candidate gains ground

They’re the kind of headlines that likely put fear into Democrats not only in New York City but across the country.

Since his stunning victory two weeks ago in New York City’s Democratic Party primary for mayor, stories have surfaced about democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s past.

Among the items going viral are reports of a 2020 photo Mamdani posted online that shows him flipping off a statue of Christopher Columbus, stories about comments Mamdani made last December, when he said as mayor he would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and his recent comments in a cable news interview that “I have many critiques of capitalism.” more

  1. Like the Christian warning about summoning demons. You can call them forth but you can’t ever say which ones you’ll get. Everyone wants a helpful demon, no one really wants ol’ Beelzebub in the living room. Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice did a comedic take on that circumstance. Communists, sorry, democrats are now learning this age old lesson. Should’a stayed in church… oh yeah, you wouldn’t have turned into stupid fuck communists then.

  2. Good luck with that morons. The democrats put communists in charge of their schools & universities and placed them in key positions in the DNC and state/local government election management. Too late to do anything about it now.

  3. The likes of this psycho are everywhere now. Our schools did this. And till we take them back from the communists, there is no hope human cancer like this clown will not threaten our country.

  4. A socialist’s platform: I will give you free stuff paid for from funds we don’t have while we chase real taxpayers out of the city. The “low propensity voters” (a Democrat euphemism, not mine) only hear “I will give you free stuff.”

The problem is that the free stuff you get is eventually worth every penny you pay for it. The free stuff only gets handed out by the bureaucrats, who damn sure aren’t taking pay cuts and there will be more of them. The government grocery stores still have to pay vendors, who aren’t going to sell to these stores unless paid, and the bureaucrats will decide what the customers need – which may not be what they want. The bus system will eliminate or restrict routes and defer or eliminate maintenance in order to remain free. Similarly, CUNY will eliminate some courses, hire lesser instructors, and the educational quality will suffer. Rent freezes will result in deferred maintenance on municipal housing as well. Other city services will suffer as the socialists/communists scramble to fund money draining programs.

We all know that socialism/communism doesn’t work. What people fail to appreciate is how quickly socialist/communist societies turn to crap (see “Venezuela”) and how long it takes to return these societies to normal (if at all).

  5. Heh. The Dems are backed into a corner and forced to make a choice between two harmful options. 1. Support the candidate and therefore outright socialism/communism. 2. Denigrate the candidate and tacitly admit that the Dems pick ridiculous candidates.
