But then Nancy Pelosi got an idea: passing out “I Voted to Impeach Trump” stickers to every Democrat who votes for impeachment.
“It’s a kind of participation trophy, I guess,” she said at a press conference. “It’s not actually removing Trump from office that counts, but it’s the friends we made along the way. Friends like — well, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar, and that other one. All great, great friends. So great.”
The stickers have no ramifications whatsoever on Trump or the government, but they make Dems feel good, sort of like the actual impeachment vote. read more

If this were real, I’d ask those sporting the stickers to place them directly over their hearts and to be sure to wear dark clothing so they can be seen from distances up to 350 yards.

SirCumference, I wish I could. We’ve had 6+ inches of rain since noon yesterday and I don’t think anyone was doing anything other than trying to drive safely. Illustr8r, this is a good example of what weather wussies we are here. Granted 6 inches is plenty of rain, but I have a couple buddies in the Houston area that had 45 inches in a couple days when Harvey hit. When we get 4 inches of snow the metropolitan area shuts down. We have to face it, we really don’t know much about dealing with adversity. On the flip side of that, there is a 9.0 earthquake sometime in the next 500 years, so there’s that.
For many of them (hopefully a lot of them) those stickers will look good in their scrapbook, the only thing needed under the title, How I Ended My Congressional Career. The more bitter ones will probably replace “Ended’ with “F____d Up”. Adding some teardrops on the sticker will be a nice touch.

MO had 12 inches in 24 hours. It was a disaster. 3 years later we (they) haven’t found all the trucks, houses, and people. Just a year ago someone found the skellingtons of a pair who succumbed. Humans. People.

Hey Joe6!, speak for yourself, dear friend. I LOVE the rain. I’d die without the rain. I get all cranky and depressed if the rain doesn’t come when it’s supposed to. I love walking in it, I love watching it, I love how it makes the air smell and what it does for the air, generally. I’m a native of Washington state and I used to take some comfort in the idea that all this rain would drive the fair weather interlopers from CA outta here. Alas, they stay. For many years I’ve been pushing N.Dakota or AK on Geoff C. No dice, says he.
When we leave Seattle for our next to final home, I’ll miss the place and the rain.

Just a second AA! I like the rain too, in fact I used to say it keeps 30 million Californians away, now it’s 40 million Californians. In a year or two it will be 50 million. I think the rain is great, no problem here on a rainy day.
