House Democrats are warning about the far-reaching consequences of a government shutdown despite recently opposing Republicans’ efforts to fund the government.
Democratic lawmakers returned to Washington on Monday, vowing to keep the government open despite voting against a GOP spending bill currently under consideration in the Senate that would temporarily fund government operations. Many Democrats have expressed fears about the negative consequences their constituents could face during a shutdown, but do not appear to regret their vote against funding government operations.
“Make no mistake: A shutdown would disrupt vital services, halt disaster relief, and put countless federal employees out of work,” Democratic Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar wrote in a lengthy post to the social media platform X on Monday. “At the end of the day, a government shutdown doesn’t impact politicians – it harms everyday Americans.”
Cuellar and 210 of his fellow Democrats voted against a seven-week funding plan — known as a clean continuing resolution (CR) — offered by House Republican leadership on Sept. 19. Maine Rep. They thought they were going to eliminate all the progress we (Trump) made in passing the OBBB that took all their money away from them.
But now that they see how excited we are that the government will actually shut down so Trump can do whatever he wants and they can’t do anything about it, they are losing their minds.

I’ve read several place on X that the Dems had penciled in a ton of money for media outlets. They stopped them from getting paid thru USaid and the money’s running out. You’re exactly right, this is all about erasing the gains made thru the BBB.
The great thing about shutting down, apparently, is that Trump can much more easily eliminate some of the ‘nonessential’ jobs that go on leave. And if it’s necessary to reinstate certain jobs he can hire new, better people.
That plus taking illegals off Medicare. Which it was never legal for them to be on.

Including Newsom. 6 or 8 months ago if one of these idiot libs posted something controversial on X 85% of the commenters were libtards defending the original poster. They’d literally try and run any conservative out of the conversation. Well no more. Every post Newsom just gets hammered by conservatives. It’s the same with all of them. That idiot Adam Kinzinger just get nailed. I’m not sure why some of them keep posting. And the conservative posters are really good catching their lies and exposing them. I hope that’s an indicator of the new political mood.

It is what I have been posting regarding the Democrats being like someone you know going through a divorce and their behavior becoming more and more erratic. Trump has their number and he has put the bastard Republican establishment on notice that if they think they are going to make like Paul Ryan and rat fuck the American people again, they are going straight to the head of the line when he starts deliberately and systematically dismantling their sleazy operation.

The Dems tried to put forth their own CR which would have restored funding to NPR& PBS,and they got shut down.
There is only one person to blame for this & it is always who is at the top. He who responds by acting out as a five year old whenever an problem arises is never an answer.
