BPR: Congressional Republicans are demanding answers after a Homeland Security employee was placed on leave for making anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas statements.
Nejwa Ali is her name, and according to The Daily Wire, which broke the story, she used to work for the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) up until 2019, when she was inexplicably hired by DHS as an asylum officer.
Four years later, she became an adjudication officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which is a subset of the wider DHS department.
The Daily Wire notes that her admission into DHS is remarkable given that the organization she used to work for, PLO, was expelled from the United States by former President Donald Trump in 2018.
