DHS lets illegals know where to avoid arrest

DougPowers: The “H” in “DHS” must stand for “helpful”:

Just about any illegal alien can avoid arrest by following these simple rules, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) advertises in a post on its website’s homepage.

Providing a virtual “how-to” guide for illegal aliens in its “Sensitive Locations FAQs,” CBP explains that immigration laws are not to be enforced at any of a wide range of designated “sensitive locations” – so that illegal aliens may be “free” to live their lives “without fear or hesitation”:

Oddly enough, the places to avoid arrest are anywhere except “in the shadows” where Dems insist people in the country illegally live:  MORE

  1. So, DHS and INS are traitorous organizations. INS were traitors before Obola (I witnessed this firsthand during the last of the Bush years when some wetback wrecked a truck right in front of the Whitehouse. Capitol Police said it was an SS problem, and the SS said it was an INS problem, and the INS said it wasn’t their problem).

  2. But some people have retired. Though this policy has been around for decades, it has now been published (with an option for Spanish translation) on the DHS website. This brings it forward from an enforcement policy guidance to a “how to avoid apprehension” benefit to those here illegally. Another document within the DHS site is a memorandum from November 2014.

This is one of the most political memoranda I ever saw directed to the BP. Within it are opinions that appear to drive enforcement directive (or non-enforcement, if you will). It is a demoralizing blow to any agent worth his salt. Agents have a strong desire to do a good job. They work under conditions not experienced by any other emergency services organization (the military on deployment being the closest). They face unique challenges that place them in danger daily, simply by the nature of their work. And now this…politics; the death knell of any worthwhile and effective organization. Agents are pressed from every side and still they work toward completing the mission. If you cross paths with an agent, thank him. He despises this nonsense just as much as you.

Write your congressman letting him know your thoughts.

  3. @ shaunqueefus:
No one wants to deal with immigration issues. Too touchy. That’s why the BP is so important. The other agencies you named (INS is defunct) were always glad to see the BP as they would run with all of it and (used to) get rid of the bad actors.

  4. BP is the Border Patrol. In the interior (more than 100 miles in), there is great interoperability amonst BP and other LE agencies. INS ended March 1, 2003 when DHS came to life.

  5. I give people information that’s 20 years outdated all the time.

“A 2X4 goes for 1.14… paint? Paint is cheap. A box of screws goes for 4 bucks.”

And my wife says, “Don’t listen to this guy about the price of anything… if he says a transmission is XXX dollars you’d better multiply by 3 or more….”

  6. “I KNOW I can get a 350 transmission for 65 bucks….”

    “You are smoking crack!”

“Fuck you, dude, I bought one for 65 dollars.”

    “In fucking 1993!”

“Yeah, 1993. WTF, they can’t be but 85 dollars now.”

    🙂

  7. Conservatives were against this in ’02! Still are against Bush’s Nanny state. This is only 1 instance that proves conservatives were right and lefty Ryan was – and still is – wrong!
