DHS to close unfinished gaps in border wall in Texas, Arizona and California

h/t Brad.

NYP: The Department of Homeland Security will use congressional funding to close unfinished construction gaps along the southern border wall and clean up construction sites in California, Arizona and Texas — but will not build any additional sections of the barrier.

On Monday, the department announced the money would be used to “address life, safety, environmental, and remediation requirements for border barrier projects” in the San Diego, El Centro, Yuma, Tucson, El Paso and Del Rio sectors. The border wall gaps occur in the Tucson, El Paso and Yuma sectors.

President Biden ordered the end of border wall construction and the diversion of funds shortly after taking office. However, the order came down with several sections of the wall unfinished. more here

  1. There are acres and acres of steel stockpiled for the wall construction, sitting there unused. Not to mention cancelled contracts we are obligated to pay, even though construction will never be completed. I despise that jackass more every day.

  2. Article 4, Section 4, US Constitution

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Fail, fail, fail… “Our government” isn’t upholding its part of the deal.
