‘Died A Hero’: Former Volunteer Fire Chief Identified By Family As Crowd Member Killed At Trump Rally

DC:

A crowd member killed on Saturday evening at former President Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally is reported to be 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, according to family members on Facebook.

While attending Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Comperatore was fatally shot by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, saving his two daughters in the process by diving onto them to shield the two from gunfire. Comperatore’s sister, wife and daughters posted tributes to the former volunteer fire chief of Buffalo Township on social media.

“The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore. The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most,” Dawn Comperatore Schafer, Corey Comperatore’s sister, wrote on Facebook. more

  1. Firefighters all have to make their peace early on with thr fact that they may die so others may live. And voulenteers take the same risks as the paid staffers, death doesnt care who signs your paycheck.

As an FF, hes accepted he may die for complete strangers at any time.

I would expect no less when it comes to his own family.

Last Alarm for Chief Corey Comperatore.

  2. “The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore.”

No it didn’t. The hatred of the Democrat Party claimed the life of your brother and celebrated his demise.

  3. JDHasty — My sentiments too.

This morning I happened to see about the last 30 mins of “Judgement at Nuremberg”. The pertinent, timely, and truthful monologues at the conclusion of the trial given by the prosecution and summed up by Spencer Tracy in the tribunal’s majority opinion and subsequent guilty verdicts are very worth listening to if you have the chance. (YouTube has the film “free with ads” right now.)

Tracy’s declaration and preamble to the verdicts reiterates the legal underpinnings of those verdicts: that anyone (anyone) who incites others to acts of violence and murder is also guilty. Anyone (anyone) who uses the technicalities of “law” to free themselves of their unjust acts is guilty. There is no cover for them vis “I was following government/superior orders”.

Who are the American neo-Nazis behind yesterday’s murder and attempted murders? Yes, they are literally neo-Nazis, under the same adjudication of the Nuremberg trial.

  4. ““The guy had spun around, was jammed between the benches, he had a head shot … there was lots of blood and he had brain matter there,” the physician told the CBS News reporter.”

…I understand the good doctor was highly motivated, but this bit with actual brain matter and massive blood loss kinda sounds to me like “sustained injuries incompatible with life”, which is generally a contraindication for starting CPR.

    You may get something back.

But its just going to be an organ warmer if you do.
