‘Dilbert’ creator Scott Adams endorses Clinton for his ‘personal safety’

WT: “Dilbert” creator and commentary writer Scott Adams gave a halfhearted endorsement of Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, saying he fears her supporters might otherwise try to murder him.

“I’ve decided to come off the sidelines and endorse a candidate for President of the United States,” the 58-year-old cartoonist wrote on his popular blog Sunday night, a day before the Associated Press reported that Mrs. Clinton reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination. “I’ve decided to endorse Hillary Clinton for President, for my personal safety.”

Mr. Adams, who has previously lauded Mr. Trump for his persuasion skills, explained that Mrs. Clinton’s supporters have “convinced” him that his safety would be at risk if he was viewed as supportive of Mr. Trump.

  1. I’ve been reading some of his articles, thanks to their discussion in Taranto’s daily WSJ column. He has been talking about the ‘Trump phenomenon’ for several months now, expressing intrigue at Trump’s success with his methodology rather than get behind Trump’s politics. But I think he likely prefers Trump’s politics to Killary’s at the very least.

Was there a link to Adams’ original post? I couldn’t find it in the WT story, here it is: http://blog.dilbert.com/post/145456082991/my-endorsement-for-president-of-the-united-states

  2. Yep, SARCASM indeed.

    He’s actually SCREAMING,
    “The Democrats are violent thugs!
    If you are easily intimidated,
vote for them to show your submission!
    Otherwise, VOTE TRUMP!”

  3. I have read Scott Adam’s “Dilbert” for many years, and really appreciate his sarcastic sense of humor. Early on, I sensed that he was probably a Conservative, and this just confirms it.

    You go, Scott.

    🙂

  4. Adams was at one time a mid level manager for ATT, a company that I spent over a decade working for. Adams developed Dilbert as a way to express his displeasure at the utter stupidity of ATT upper management without being ostracized or otherwise punished. It’s hard to be proudly conservative in a rabidly liberal company, or city, or state, or nation…..
