Disabled Veterans Report Discrimination, Targeting At Export-Import Bank

DC: Disabled veterans working at the Export-Import bank are reporting that management is trying hard to oust them from the agency.

Two disabled veterans at the Trade Credit Insurance Division of the Export-Import bank say that management is forcing them to move to the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., and increasing their working hours, despite the fact that they suffer from debilitating medical conditions.

Another disabled veteran has reportedly been systematically passed over for a promotion and is now locked in a lawsuit with Ex-Im, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

Laurie Evans, a 60-year-old disabled veteran who has served at Ex-Im for 16 years and received a performance review of “Excellent,” spoke with TheDCNF about management’s decision to turn the teleworking arrangement on its head for herself and another disabled veteran.

  1. You will not find a bigger supporter of any veteran than me. But I need more than a 60 year old female disabled vet to confirm what’s going on here. What conflict was she wounded in 40 years ago? I don’t mean to be the big ass hole again but I read that story and I have doubts. And I fully realize a conflict wasn’t necessary for her to become wounded, but what are the odds?

  2. Bad-Brad FYI: You don’t need to be a wounded vet, as long as /you can prove your condition is service-connected. AIDS is a service connected disability as are ulcers and hemmroids.

  3. Extirpates,

I got that. Even posted something down that line. She served 35 to 40 years ago. What, she twisted her ankle walking out of mess? In my mind this is close to false valor. Save this shit for people that deserve it.
