FOX: Disney’s Southern California theme parks were supposed to reopen in mid-July.
Walt Disney Co. Chairman and CEO Bob Iger has abruptly departed California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID-19 economic task force, with Disneyland’s reopening remaining at a standstill.
Iger left this week, a Disney spokesperson confirmed to the Los Angeles Times.
Newsom established the task force in April to chart a path for economic recovery in the wake of COVID-19, tapping leaders from state Senate President pro tempore Toni Atkins to Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, Senate Minority Leader Shannon Grove and former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. more here

First off, Iger has proven absolutely brilliant compared to his predecessor. Michael Isner was dreadful, did not increase shareholder value for over a decade, and ranks right up there with John Scully, Jell Immelt, and Steve Ballmer as the worst.
I imagine the reason he left this task force was that he was not happy with Newsome and his foot-dragging. Of course, he won’t admit it publicly but even he knows that Ron DeSantis is ten times a better governor than Newsome.

Iger and his rich celebrity pals helped get the nephew of Nanzi Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, elected thinking he and had bought the governor.
Pelosi needs her nephew to keep the state closed until after the election to keep the economy from improving.
Newsom is more loyal to his aunt and his party.
