Breitbart: A Kentucky building housing thousands of barrels of aged bourbon collapsed on Friday, sending 9,000 barrels of the liquor crashing.
The Bardstown fire chief, Billy Mattingly, told the Kentucky Standard half of the Barton 1792 Distillery’s storage facility collapsed Friday morning, with the other half in danger of buckling underneath and falling.
A spokesperson for Barton Brands said no one was injured when the building collapsed.
“Right now we’re trying to determine why it collapsed,” Mattingly said, adding that the spilled bourbon might pose a fire hazard if several forecasted storms make landfall in the area. more here
I wonder if they’re taking volunteers for the clean up.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Crap! Bourbon Chicken entree prices are gonna go through the roof!
A genuinely newsworthy catastrophy
WHEW! Jack Daniels safe!!!
Apparently no persons were injured thank goodness. Oh, and a special shout out to the EPA there to make sure none of the bourbon “contaminated” a nearby river. Well, god forbid any bourbon should enter the river, just as long as it wasn’t the Animas River near pretty little Silverton, CO.

I hope it’s not terrorist attempting to cause a whisky shortage.
Candy, Isn’t that just hilarious?
I felt a disturbance in the force, like 9000 souls crying out and were silenced
Oh, the HUMANITY!!!
How about a moment of silence, y’all, out of respect for the dearly departed spirits? (I got a million of ’em!)
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials had been on site to investigate if the bourbon contaminated a river located 250 feet away from the warehouse. Firefighters could not determine if the alcohol got into the water supply.
Candy,
I’m thinking they’ll be investigating why someone would go into competition with their previous efforts. While not even close to the negative effects from their spill I’m sure they’re concerned about any upcoming competition.
“…the spilled bourbon might pose a fire hazard if several forecasted storms make landfall in the area…”
What area is that, the Kentucky coastline?
Gotta do it!

Hurry. Everyone to the river. Bring your drinking vessel & dip you some Bourbon & Water. Don’t forget to bring all the 5-gallon empty water jugs you can, or rent a retired Fire Dept. tanker truck to fill to take some home for later. Remember to check first to see if the fish are swimming drunk to make sure you have a good alcohol level in the water.
I saw that on CNN – their headline was “Trump causes huge collapse in liquor market”.
I HIC! was dere with me HIC! trusty cpu er cup.
There’ll be candlelight vigils held across the nation tonight. How much more can this nation withstand?
This horrible tragedy just might be the turning point that brings this torn nation back together.
Or, maybe not
This grisly breaks my heart
The bar has been raised for the Angel’s share.
This abuse of holy water must cease immediately. Repeal the laws of gravity.
Fortunately, it was nothing anyone needs.
Old Barton is a rare Kentucky Burbon, I love the stuff but cannot find it in NE Florida.
