  1. And I used to think that large behemoth 49 bathtub bomber Nash’s, late 50’s Ford Edsel’s, mid 60’s Rambler Matadors, Pontiac Azteks etc. were the most butt ugly American cars ever built. Cyber trucks are overrated, very expensive totally butt ugly vehicles of the worst kind. They look like something out of a bad dystopian sci-fi movie after the apocalypse has occurred. I once had to lube and grease a 49 Nash at my dad’s gas station and garage, I couldn’t believe how many zirks (grease fittings) that were on its front suspension system, there must have been at least 20 or more that my dad showed me. It was also owned by a true albino guy (the only albino that I ever knew) who very rarely came out during the day and worked nights.

  2. R Crumb’s hippie cartoon character Mr. Natural would’ve been a natural for driving a 49 Nash just because. My brother when I sold him my 61 VW Microbus camper when I joined the Navy in the fall of 1972 painted Mr. Natural on the driver’s door with his long stride stance and keep on truckin. I should’ve parked that VW microbus and not let any of my brothers have it since now aging hippie baby bummers are paying $50,000 or more for vintage VW camper buses. I bought it in Beaverton, Oregon in the spring of 72 for $750 dollars.

You’re not accounting for (Gubberment driven) inflation.
It’s not that the car is worth more, it’s that the money is worth less (worthless).
