Populist Times: The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have continued to share insights into which government agencies need urgent trimming when Trump takes office in January 2025.

Musk has promised that DOGE will cut $2 trillion in fat from the federal budget.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO and founder shared economics Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman’s vision of a lean government, highlighting the extent of the federal government’s bloat, including agencies that should not have been created in the first place. Musk believes Friedman’s ideas on tackling the sprawling bureaucracy and wasteful spending were the best. more

  1. Pare the federal gov’t back to only those things designated by the Constitution and Bill of Rights (and don’t hand us that “general welfare” stuff). Anything beyond that is overreach. And since when has the federal gov’t been involved in anything that it improves for the average American?

    It’s time to talk about scrapping the TSA again, isn’t it? Go strictly to profiling and let us have our full-sized bottle of shampoo back in our carry-on. Most of those TSA regulations are about as necessary and effective as the NIH’s covid regulations about masking and “social distancing”.

    Also: Start confiscating all those guns and ammo all the agencies bought.
