President-elect Donald Trump endorsed Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) Monday morning after leaving Johnson twisting in the wind for 11 days.
Trump posted a 232-word soliloquy on Truth Social touting his electoral romp and attacking Democrats for weaponizing the government against him.
At the very end, he endorsed Johnson for speaker, using his boilerplate endorsement language:
LETS NOT BLOW THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY WHICH WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN. The American people need IMMEDIATE relief from all of the destructive policies of the last Administration. Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man. He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!!! more

We all make mistakes, and sometimes blunders.
It seems as though EVERYTHING is set up in our government to FORCE the worst of the worst upon us all. So now, the approval of the Electoral College vote would be in jeopardy if Johnson is not elected speaker….how convenient. Before that it was one excuse after another regarding shafting America with yet another CR full of pork. I guarantee that the founding fathers would have wanted our nation dissolved entirely rather than allow this garbage.
If Trump is now starting to scape the bottom of the barrel for Conservatives to hold political positions, I fear for our Country. The Republicans have had John Boehner, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy and Mike Johnson and all were Democrats disguised as Republican’s
Trump doesn’t really have much of a choice. If 1/6/25 rolls around with no GOP SOTH, then the democrats will pull some shit. They’ll try to pull some shit anyway, but if Johnson isn’t there, then it will be a bigger shit show than it should be.
