Those vehicles (excluding all electric coal fired vehicles) pay for the highways by way of fuel taxes.
Also, most of those driving the vehicles are driving to work or to some activity actual contributing to society.
Obstruction of traffic serves no useful purpose.
@Anon – I remember the days when you would get arrested for that kind of behavior. And they didn’t just let you go without consequences.
Real parades, which allow closure of a public roadway require a permit from the department of transportation.

Leia Schenk, the spokesperson for Empact who helped organize the anti-Trump event said in a statement: …. “So, we came out here peacefully and look what happens. We have six people ran down by Trumpsters and then we have two more ran down by CHP.”
Schenk is ignoring what really happened and placing blame in the wrong place. Videos from the scene show anti-Trump demonstrators as they harassed drivers and blocked the roadway, then complained when those same vehicles sped past them to get out of the chaotic area….
“As the lead vehicle began to pull away, one of the protesters climbed up on the hood of the patrol vehicle. Fearing for his safety, the officer began to accelerate away and the protester fell off the vehicle. Medical aid was provided and the party was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with minor injuries.”
