NYP: The suspect who allegedly lit a sleeping passenger on fire inside a Coney Island F train sat on a bench and watched her burn to death in a shocking pre-Christmas killing — then sneaked away when unwitting cops told him they needed to “clear the space.”

In a horrifying video obtained by The Post, the man calmly looked on as flames engulfed the unidentified woman, who stood inside the open subway car door while the train idled at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station at about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. more

    You can’t defend yourself, and if you do, YOU’RE the one who’s arrested. WTH!?
    The wife and I visited Madrid Spain about 1980 (I was in the Army stationed in Germany), during the Franco regime. I remember the streets, subway, and public areas, being totally trashy. Not San Fran needles and feces, but still nasty. I wonder how the streets of NYC look?

  2. The point is….you SHOULD be able to sleep on the subway.

    Require ALL public servants, including Adam’s, Hochul, Bragg etc. to ride the subway daily with no security. Problem solved in a week.

  5. I don’t go anywhere with out my gun. In the last week I’ve been in various malls with “Gun Free Zone” or “No Guns Allowed” signs on the entrance doors. If I’m carrying there what do you think the odds are the bad guys are too.
    Our local mall allows guns. The big individual stores don’t. Nordstrom’s is such a store. And they have metal detectors. If you wait and enter with a crowd they can’t tell who’s got the gun. The store dicks try and follow everyone. Frantically. It’s actually pretty funny. If they catch you they ask you to leave. So it’s game on. They figure it out, when you leave. LOL

    The mall has a NO WEAPONS sign, but they purposely made it too small to be a legal sign. They know what they are doing, too.

  9. Odds are this woman was mentally ill and homeless. A combo of misfortune that facilitated her horrific fate. A perfect victim for a psychopathic illegal accommodated by the genocidal Biden Regime.

    This monster who burned a woman to death should not be imported, but have a short trial and sentenced to death without appeal. That would be justice. Something this woman won’t get in New York.

    Again. January 20th can’t get here fast enough. This leftist insanity will finally be confronted by President Trump.

    We’re half a step away from the wild wild west. Which I’m good with. There’s never been a time in our life times that requires such vigilance to protect your family. If you don’t approve of guns and don’t carry, practice hitting the ground when some voice behind you commands you to do so. We won’t have time to pick and chose.

    I carry, and sometimes you get pissed with me for when I change my carry method dependent on my clothing. And I can hit a 6 inch gong at 25 yards with a small handgun. Or even a big handgun.

  16. That’s really not unusual for an arsonist to hang out and admire his handiwork. We trained to notice if someone seemed a bit more interested than the average lookie-lou, if they tried to get information on what we knew, and if we kept seeing the same person at different scenes.

    But this guy’s a special kind of firebug to just calmly watch his victim burn, so close he could hear the fat popping and smell the roasting flesh. Pretty psychotic that one, and SUPER dangerous if he has so little empathy and less remorse that he can just watch a stranger die in flaming agony by his hand so unflinchingly, just imagine if he actually was MAD at you what he’d be capable of…

    And that distorted image makes it hard to tell, but that person doesnt seem NEARLY as active as your usual person on fire. Must be some special drugs or some real toxic smoke.

    And again, the cops really cover themselves in glory, nicht wahr? Throw a blanket or a jacket on her, hit her with an extinguisher, shove her down and help her roll it out, SOMETHING. Dont just run by trying to get someone on the radio to do the job you wont do, you were hired to take risks and save lives; so take risks and save lives already guy, put the radio down, pull your pants up, and put the nice flaming lady out while it might still do some good…

  17. I would make a callous remark about needing some “common sense lighter regulations”, but that being NY and having been subject to all of Nanny Bloomberg’s sa;t and straw and slurpee restrictions it probably is against the law to carry a lighter!!!

  24. Sitting at my keyboard in the small hours just before Christmas. At first I thought I had no words to describe my reaction to this terrible story. But as I am ceaselessly praying, Jesus always uses everything that happens in this world to remind and to teach.

    Christians everywhere view these kinds of depraved events as the “birth pangs” told to us in the book of Matthew; the signs of the coming King.

    I often gauge the shocking events of today against the shocking events of days not so long past — those in living memory — to try to measure our reaction to those that happen today. A past atrocity I find useful are the murders of the entire Clutter family of Kansas, who are the subjects of Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood.” This event was so shocking and the murderers so evil, it took Capote six years to finish the book. The crimes were so vicious and unexpected that the story was made into a film. Decades later another film was made about Capote’s struggle to write the book. Even today, like the senseless, horrific murders by the Charles Manson “family”, most will know of his crimes and his psychopathy. Most will even know who Squeaky Fromme is, and why she served 34 years in federal prison.

    This morning we know the name of the twisted soul who wasn’t satisfied to light a defenseless person on fire, but who also impassively watched as she burned to death. Today, no one will set upon a path to write the woman’s story because tomorrow her story will be forgotten and replaced with yet another shocking example of human depravity. Unlike 1959, today we are drinking from a fire hose of continuous stories of depravity.

    We saw the photos of the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings. Today, it’s rumored that Joe Biden may pardon the remaining perpetrator of that heinous crime.

    But Jesus tells us that the birth pangs will rise in amplitude and come closer together as the body of Christ readies themselves for his coming.

    Friends, if you think you are “a good person” or “good enough”, please consider that in the eyes of our wholly righteous and just God, there is no one who is good; not one. The only way to the Father is through belief and faith in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered yourself — traded your self-righteousness for the kingdom of God — please make haste, for although no man knows the timing, every sign indicates the hour of our coming Christ is upon us.

  25. As long as it’s just the “little people” using the subway, there’s no incentive for the politicians to do anything about the violence. NYC used to have cops on the subways and in the stations, before the defund movement.

  34. I honestly don’t know how anyone can compartmentalize seeing something like this. The brain must, somehow, do something with it. Rarely can I look at something this horrible and not have it affect me forever. I don’t think it’s necessary to fill in ALL the details of something that has been adequately described in words in order to be disgusted enough. What’s more, it seems that by making all the details available via photographs on something as impersonal as the internet, would desensitize and objectify the victim as a spectacle. Goretainment.

    What made the photograph of The Girl In The Picture (Phan Thi Kim Phuc), running toward the photographer, naked, was that Americans and the Western world were unprepared for the reality of the lives of those living in a combat zone.

    If the NYTs or Newsweek ran a story of the Nameless Burning Woman on the subway with commentary about the disastrous effects of unchecked illegal migration, then it would make some sense of a senseless picture. As it stands, I fully expect there will be those who feel the murderer is being treated unfairly, and they will start a crowd-funding account for him, as they did with Magione.

    …I dont know about it in the context of a psychopathic murder, but having had to deal with tragic situations on a regular basis for a time, I developed that ability, as do many in emergency services and hospitals as a means to remain functional in the face of horrible human suffering. Human concerns arent gone, believe me, but they are shoved aside, leaving only the clinical, mechanical operations in the fore. This is why people dealing with patiints may seem cold, if you get involved in the human aspects of evwry tragedy you’ll go crazy pretty quick, and be useless to everyone concerned.

    Ive never been a soldier but I know some, and it seems to be a similar but worse process because the goal is to end a life, not save it. But the stuff you shove in another compartment is still there, festering, sometimes for years. If it leaks out after not being dealt with, the result can be PTSD.

    But the psychopathic mind may not use this because it doesnt need to. If a person already lacks empathy and humanity, the only need for compartmentalization is to put on a “normal” face, as normal for such may be a strain for them.

    Some sell their souls, some have their souls beaten out of them, and some have no evidence they ever had one.

    This guy is in that last group.

    I dont think he was ever capable of humanity.
