Doug Jones Defended Man With Ties to KKK, Holocaust Deniers

Breitbart: Doug Jones, the Democratic candidate in next month’s Alabama Senate special election against Republican Judge Roy Moore, previously defended a man with strong ties to the Ku Klux Klan and Holocaust deniers, FOX News has revealed.

Jones has boasted of the fact he successfully prosecuted two KKK members with links to the 1963 16th Street Baptist Church bombing that killed four black children and injured many more.

However, in the 1980’s, Jones also defended Tom Posey in court over his involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal, who had strong ties with the KKK and Holocaust deniers.

Posey was the founder of the Civilian Military Assistance (CMA) paramilitary group arming rebels in Nicaragua, which United Press International reported in 1986 as being “trailed by hints of shadowy connections, ranging from the CIA to the Ku Klux Klan, and members have been charged with an assortment of Latin American mischief, including gun running, drug smuggling, and assassination plots.”

One member of the CMA group was Chicago chapter leader Arthur Jones, who and described the Holocaust as “nothing more than an international extortion racket by the Jews.”

Jones successfully defended Posey in 1987 on charges of illegal arms shipping to the Nicaraguan rebels, when the U.S. was not officially at war with the former communist state.
