Dr. Seuss Book Prices Skyrocket Up To $5,000 After They’re Canceled For Racism

National File:

Six books from the popular children’s book author Theodor Seuss “Ted” Geisel, better known under his pen name, Dr. Seuss, were permanently canceled today by the foundation that holds the copyright. Almost immediately, the prices of the books skyrocketed on eBay, as Americans sought to obtain the now-banned reading materials.

Earlier today it was announced that several books by the legendary children’s book author, Dr. Seuss, have been canceled effective today, and will no longer be printed due to the alleged racism contained within the tomes. Already, prices of the books have skyrocketed on eBay, the popular internet auction websites, as Americans seek to obtain a copy of the now banned books.

A rare 1937 copy of “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street”, perhaps the most well known of the newly banned books, can be bought for $4,400. The seller, however, will handle the shipping expense. Other options include 1964 copies for $449 and $204.99. All of these are marked “New Listing” by Amazon, indicating they likely entered the market after the ban. read more

  1. @Joe6pak – “Between books and baseball cards I can’t believe all the money I’ve thrown away.”

    HAHA…I kept mine.

    And my comic books TOO…

  2. It may go against the concept of private property, but anyone who submits to cancel culture should lose copywrite and trademark protection to anyone brave enough to stand up for free expression. For example Dr Seuss fans should be able to take over the copywrite and publish the books. Likewise an Ice cream company should be free to produce Eskimo pies.

  3. Maybe we need to have a Federal law that makes it a felony to be in possession of a racist book.

Wonder which Congressional representatives we could suggest to and get the ball rolling?

  4. And right on time the Babylon Bee does it again with one of todays articles, Penguin Random House announces revised copy of Dr. Seuss book ” Oh, the people you cancel.” You can’t make this stuff up anymore because because the left is so totally batshit unhinged with hatred and everything that offends them is racist.

…really, anything perverted will do…there’s much, MUCH worse out there, but the schools will have it in online kindergarten soon enough, so no need to bring it up NOW, but rest assured that books that groom children for molesting will be a HUGE growth industry under the Pedophile fake president’s puppet “administration”, and Democrats and Muslims everywhere will enthusiastically wallow in it…

  6. Like Cuomo’s issue of unwanted sexual advances not mass murder in nursing homes, I think the race issue with Dr. Suess is a sidestep from the real issue: A Persons a Person, no Matter how Small.

  7. They better put these Dr. Seuss books in a secure place at public libraries because canceling and banning them will make them sure targets for book theft. I’ve checked these books out before from the library when my kids were little and read them to my kids. Does that make me a retroactive racist for exposing my kids to Dr. Seuss when they were growing up?
