Elon Musk Has a Great Idea To Get Rid of Activist Judges

PJM:
A federal judge dropped a bombshell on Saturday, issuing an order that no only temporarily blocks the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing essential data on federal payments but also bars Treasury officials from accessing data managed by the agency.

According to the order, only “civil servants with a need for access to perform their job duties within the Bureau of Fiscal Services who have passed all background checks and security clearances and taken all information security training called for in federal statutes and Treasury Department regulations” can access the data, while “all political appointees, special government employees, and government employees detailed from an agency outside the Treasury Department” cannot, pending a hearing scheduled for February 13.

The judge also ordered that any Treasury data that has already been collected must be destroyed.

Since the Treasury secretary is a political appointee, this outrageous ruling essentially bars him from viewing or managing the sensitive financial data of his own department. This unprecedented act not only strips the Treasury secretary of a fundamental responsibility but also undermines the executive branch’s authority to effectively oversee its financial operations.  more here

“I’ll be seriously disappointed if it isn’t “Shoot them.””

…I was hoping for “Hang Them”, but lets not quibble over details…

  2. The suggestion I believe is to try them by their own peers. The bottom 20%, the Judges who are overturned on appeal more than any of their peers, get removed.

Being Californian by birth… I’m skeptical of such simplicity. This is the same road that led California to term-limits and ranked “top two (party)” voting that results in a single party in control… Before you commit to supporting this… Game out all the possible outcomes. You might be surprised at the outcome.

I thought destroying federal data and records was a violation of law. Funny that a judge would order such a thing…

  4. One serious response. Thank you Kali Refugee in Texas. Long gone are the days of readers like MoeTom. Now it’s just class clowns. I really miss the days of meaningful and creative discussion. Although that requires thinking. Musk has an excellent point.

  5. Ignoring a Federal Judge is exactly what the democrats have done numerous times since the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Some Democrat enclaves did not integrate until the ’80s. Joe Biden ignored a Federal Judge 3 times in his term. While you jive around and burn time trying to organize something “meaningful and creative” you are wasting precious time. Screw the bastard. What is he gonna do. They have no enforcement power. Play time is over. Hardball.

  6. They take an oath to the Constitution when they’re sworn in.
Many of their rulings are unconstitutional and turned over on appeal.
That right there should mean something but the way the office is set up many are unelected lifelong lawmakers.
Not supposed to be that way.

  7. Allowing a corrupt system to “judge” those involved in running that corrupt system is a recipe for failure…and disaster. Congress WON’T do it’s job and remove incompetent, evil, agenda driven bench bound criminals. And there is no other LEGAL way to do so. Sometimes that means the only solution available is extrajudicial.

  8. A federal judge can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction by the Senate. That’s almost a helpless remedy. Elon needs to make these assholes famous on X. Publish everything about them. Including family members names and addresses. DOX the fuck out of them. They are enemies of the Republic and deserve no consideration.

  9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_A._Engelmayer:

“On February 7, 2025, Engelmayer granted a temporary injunction sought by New York Attorney General Letitia James and 17 other state attorneys general blocking any further access by the DOGE to the Treasury Department’s payment processing systems. The order required return and destruction of the data so far obtained. It was largely grounded in citizen privacy rights, the threat of identity theft, and the risk of hacking.”

    LacTittyFace James? … Standing anyone?

    Justice Roberts?

    Justice Thomas?

    Shut this shit down.

  10. The Dems will push the parameters until they break the system. Their goal is chaos, so win or lose in this battle, they win in the end, unless Trump is allowed to succeed by the Republican majority, as slim as it is. The Dems have accomplished far more with far slimmer margins…thanks to RINOs and squishy Republicans.

Obama’s administration started it, pushing and pushing, getting away with what they could, and they got away with just about everything, including successfully ignoring court rulings…to the SCOTUS level.

This is a game of chicken and the Republicans have never been good at it. That needs to change. I hope it has.

  11. @CT Ginger,

Perhaps simpler to name him an omnibus Inspector General. Either way, if he is a federal employee he is subject to the “oversight” of Clowngress, and those aquealing piggies would tie him up indefinitely in hearings.

While it disturbs me to ignore the barious and sundrt levels of judges, the Judiciary cannot be allowed to run roughshod over the Executive. In this case the Executive is operating within its own sphere Administration. Judges and Clowngress can butt out.
