It was no joke. Ièll bet her PR guy, her Manager, her Agent and most likely her accountant all got to her and told her just how damaging this would be for her career unless she backtracked, apologized and spun it right away. There may not be a whole lot of patriots in Hollywood but I suspect there are enough that she could have found herself with a lot of time on her hands.
