Was the crying man named Dindu bin Nuffin?
Situational awareness is your friend. So is being able to improvise on your feet.
I poured a pint bottle of Tabasco into a half a pounder of beer when I realized that my buddies and I were going to have to fistfight our way out of Thirteen Coins in SeaTac and we were outnumbered more than two to one. The three guys with me were Tacoma Sabercats hockey minor league hockey team members, but still I didn’t want to get all scuffed up if I didn’t need to.
As we squared off and right when the gloves were dropped I threw the Tabasco/beer cocktail in the face of the guys we were about to square off against blinding them and effectively taking about half of them out of the scrap.
Hey now – knives are illegal in UK! That guy should not have a knife!
Chili powder scoops and possession of more than one ounce of chili powder to be outlawed in London in 3… 2… 1…
Waste of chili powder. Ammonia and water in a squirt bottle works well. (Used that as a kid riding my bike through attack dog-infested neighborhoods. The dogs would literally knock people off their bikes. Not me, you neurotic assholes.)
Is that even legal there?
Hell set up a misting system right over the counter, with Carolina Reaper juice in water, and control it with a foot switch.
In New Zealand, they’re “thwarting” holdups with fog machines…

A fellow Navy crew member, a Filipino, once told me it was common practice growing up in Manila to be chewing on a particularly hot chili pepper when walking in tough neighborhoods. If some dude tried to give you trouble. Spit the juice in his eyes. Then run like hell while they were momentarily blinded.
