Yes, thanks, MJA! Heard Rush first time driving across the great state of Texas in 1992. Husband said exactly that – “That guy’s saying what I think!”. Will never forget that moment. Listened to Rush ever since that day until the day he died. 😢
I first heard Rush while driving to work. My early days of software game development in Seattle. I knew enough then that I probably couldn’t listen to him on the radio in my cube-so I bought headphones.
I continued to listen when I went freelance in 2005. Rush set my day, the first 3 hour block. Since he’s gone I no longer listen to much talk radio. My work time blocks now consist of audio books, Spotify and NHL games. Rush was the pinnacle and irreplaceable and greatly missed every day.

When Rush was in “geosynchronous orbit” we bought a portable short wave radio so we could listen to him on holiday in San José del Cabo!
