Twenty-nine states, more than half the stars on the American flag, have filed lawsuits against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for redefining the “Waters of the United States,” or WOTUS. EPA rewrote the law, erasing “navigable” and usurping states’ rights by including local seasonal streams, farm irrigation ponds, roadside ditches, and even “connective” dry lands placed under authority of the Clean Water Act.
The WOTUS rule, published the morning of June 29, potentially subjects every food, energy, transportation and manufacturing industry in the nation to high-handed regulation by one of the most reviled and least trusted federal agencies, dreaded for its cadre of “revolving door” officials hired from anti-industry green groups.
Another example of Congress abdicating its authority to the executive branch. The EPA, or any other agency, should not be rewriting laws.
What liberal moron came up with the EPA?
My first day as president, it would be gone.
You can thank Tricky Dick Nixon for this particular abomination.
Department of Power Grabbing
I think the EPA went from employing around 5000 people in the early 70’s to 17,000 today. Seems like a growth industry to me… bidness is very good.
The EPA and other such agencies should not even exist, much less write laws.
Agenda 21, look it up. Bottom line, humans will be packed tightly into zones to allow the re-wilding of America. Inspired from the bowels of hell. Leftism on steroids.
Secession anyone?
Dick believed the socialists would leave him alone if he threw em a bone. He learned (too late) that you can’t negotiate with a rabid dog – you have to put it down.
Okay, let’s review. The EPA wants to control the air, sea and land for our benefit. The Dept. of Energy will insure that America has plenty of gas, oil and electricity (thanks Jimmy Carter). The Dept of Education will guarantee that your chillin’s will come out of school educated.
The IRS will process your voluntary contributions of taxes. And the Justice Dept will apply our laws equally.
Does that sound about right??????????????
Killing these bureaucracies would be just too easy.
“Killing these bureaucrats would be just too easy.”
There. Fixed it for ya. You’re welcome.
29 of them, ay? Why don’t any of them don’t tell the Federales to pound sand is beyond me. None of this horseshit is in the Constitution to which they signed onto as it is with most of the shit they pass.
