EU Softens Report on Chinese Disinformation After Pressure From China

Dan Bongino: The European Union caved to the demands of the Chinese Communist Party and altered a report that documented their disinformation campaign regarding their response to the coronavirus. The EU ended up removing language that criticized the CCP in order to deflect blame for their handling of the pandemic’s spread and its coverup of its origin.

The original report read that “China has continued to run a global disinformation campaign to deflect blame for the outbreak of the pandemic and improve its international image… both overt and covert tactics have been observed.” The report also criticized the CCP for blaming France for how it handled the virus. more

  1. Oh, c’mon … political entities have “interests” not “friends.”
Geo-politics tends towards balance (when in nominal equilibrium). Balance of power; balance of interests; balance of trade; balance of influence among the third-worlders; and balance of skills. Alliances and “interests” ebb and flow with time and circumstance.
Considering the make-up of the EU, it’s surprising that it doesn’t tend towards psychopathy and schizophrenia more than it does. Less than a century ago Europe was a wasteland. Less than a generation (not 25 – say 50 years ago) ago it was tottering back – the Seine smelled like a cesspool – Germans pissed out in the open – wops were still killing each other over real and imagined political differences – Warsaw and Prague were communist prisons – the landscape was littered with concrete blockhouses-turned-apartments.

So they tone down their criticisms for a little coin? They’re tired of begging from America – sick of Britain – terrified of Russia – and inundated with hostile musselmen.
