California, whose new leftist governor, Gavin Newsom, has big ambitions to be the counter-president for now, and eventually replace President Trump, has this one little problem that always comes of socialist rule: the locals are fleeing.
Now it turns out half the ones who haven’t fled are thinking about it.
Just over half of California’s registered vote[rs] have considered leaving the state, with soaring housing costs cited as the most common reason for wanting to move, according to a new poll.
Young voters were especially likely to cite unaffordable housing as a reason for leaving, according to the latest latest [sic] UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll conducted for the Los Angeles Times. But a different group, conservatives, also frequently suggested they wanted to leave — and for a very different reason: They feel alienated from the state’s political culture.
That just-over-half figure cited by the Los Angeles Times is actually 54%, broken down by 40% Republican and 14% Democrat voters. They want out and are dreaming of new lives in states where jobs are forming and housing isn’t just for billionaires. Walk around any place in California and recognize that half the people you meet are people who want the hell out. read more

Great, the brainwashed ones want to leave and spread their disease elsewhere where they can afford a house and the illegals want to leave in order steal someone citizens job and lower the wages for everyone. Put a wall up around California and forbid emigration.

Apparently illegals there have a better understanding of economic concepts than the elected officials and the indoctrinated voters who elected them.

I moved to Texas. California was an amazing place at one time but things change. For the worse with democrats.
The problem is most of them are moving next door to Nevada and they’re turning our state purple.
I dislike this sort of idea. It’s close to paying extortion, blackmail or protection money. But cities and states – that want to prevent the changes that the invaders will bring to their communities via the ballot box – to protect the future of their homes, need to come up new outside the box ideas and plans.
They might find the surest way to protect their future, prevent sh__ho_e areas from springing up, would be to budget taxpayer money to send to businesses in the cities & states people are fleeing from – to say pay the $15/hr for restaurant workers in San Francisco. The restaurant will stay open, their employees will stay employed, stay in San Francisco, and keep their voting tendencies at home in San Francisco, [ or LA, Portland, Seattle, etc] instead of bringing their votes to your state or town.
It would no doubt be a despised expense burden, but no more, and easier to implement than funding say – reeducation camps, and requiring new arrivals from suspect areas to be deprogrammed before allowed residency in your state. Unless they can provide proof they weren’t leftist crazy before leaving their home town to live in your home town. Essentially asylum seekers who aren’t nutjobs. However, only the lawyers would get wealthy with that idea.
