PM:
Facebook’s parent company Meta was issued a $25 million fine Wednesday for violating Washington state’s campaign finance laws.
According to court documents, King County Superior Court Judge Douglass North found Meta to be in violation of Washington’s political disclosure law 822 separate times between 2019 and 2021 and issued the maximum possible fine for each instance, which totaled up to $30,000 per violation. more
I am going to try and do math. $25M fine to a company worth $250B. Is that 1/10th of 1%? So if I am worth $1M the fine is $100? I am willing to be proven wrong.
Why not a billion?
And to think… Dinesh D’Souza got jail time for a 10K donation to one candidate, through another person.
It won’t change until there is jail time for those involved.
King county???
cut off his tiny dick
I heard this was the max fine possible, and many other jurisdictions can bring the same suit.
But I agree $25M is really more of a fee than a fine. A fine is a deterrent.
so … fakebook donates $25 mill to Washington state to continue its woketardedness … wonderful!
So Facebook banning President Trump and other conservatives is OK, but failing to disclose who paid for political ads, that’s big trouble.
“You didn’t do it the way we told you to do it, so you’re getting fined $25 mil.”
