Facebook suspends another GOP candidate, gets accused of playing identity politics

The Floridian: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have notoriously suspended or permanently kicked individuals off of their respective social media platforms for “violating” policy, profanity, and if you ask any Republican, for opposing Democratic or liberal viewpoints or politicians.

The latest case of Facebook (purchased Instagram) booting off or suspending a Conservative Republican happened a week ago when Republican congressional candidate Jessi Melton (pictured), who is running for Congress against Rep. Ted Deutch (D), posted a letter Deutch sent to one of his constituents about the House impeachment hearings.

Minus the address of the constituent, Melton posted the actual letter Deutch sent out and added her own political slant about how Deutch and House Democrats were using “taxpayer dollars to overthrow our President” and to “stomp on our 2nd amendment right to defend our home and country.” read more

  1. Why don’t all conservatives stop supporting these ass holes and move to GAB? GAB has the best infrastructure of the ANTI twitter/FB sights. Everyone, MOVE. They will follow.

  2. If it is an editor, then it should be regulated by the FEC and their income should be taxed as an in kind contribution to the Democrat Party. Which it is.

Every Anti-Trump / Anti-Republican news article, TV show, Hollywood movie, song, etc. that is not wiped or banned or “sent to Facebook jail” is an endorsement.

Get states involved so they are fighting lawsuits and taxes at every level. The process is the punishment. Now drag them through the process.

  3. Tyranny can abide nothing but the Party Line.
The Republicans have an opportunity to declare FB, Twitter, InstaGram, and the others (no – I have NO familiarity with ANY of them) “Common Carriers,” by the simple fact that they ARE common carriers, and thus, prohibit them from judging and interfering with the content of any message.
FFS! The phone company can’t tell you what’s “proper” to discuss, so why should these fascists be allowed?

  4. Simple. Fine them $100,000 for each offense of illegitimate banning of FREE SPEECH with political bias and watch how fast they leave people alone or apply the rules equally to both sides.

The shit Maxine Waters and Ilhan get away with is ridiculous.
