The FBI was made aware of the suspected Apalachee High School shooter in 2023 during the course of investigating the source of online threats.
FOX 10 Phoenix reported that “The FBI, in a joint statement with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, revealed Gray was on law enforcement’s radar more than a year before Wednesday’s school shooting.”
And the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted, “In May 2023, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting.”
The tips led to then-13-year-old Colt Gray, who was interviewed by law enforcement and who denied making the threats. more
It took them over a year to groom him?

This high school is only about 12 to 15 miles from my house and it is within Barrow County by many miles. Jackson County is adjacent to Barrow County, but the high school appears to be several miles (maybe 10 to more miles) from Jackson County according to maps (it is much closer to Gwinnett County than Jackson). I am unsure as to why the Jackson County authorities would be called to investigate this incident (and preceding reports of threats) considering that this high school is several miles away in a completely different county. Something appears to be off with this whole thing from what I can tell just from the location of the shooting and the “authorities” supposedly investigating. Based on how the school systems in GA operate, it would appear to me that Barrow County authorities would be the proper investigative entity.
Regardless, I offer my sincere condolences to the victims / families suffering through this.
I could be mistaken about how the “investigation” is being handles, but I am quite certain about what county the school is located in and considering how screwed up everything is these days, I have to suspect that something here is not right.
Well haven’t we at least learned by now (thank you President Trump) that if the FBI is involved trust absolutely NOTHING!!!!

My best friend’s dad was an old school FBI agent from the early 50’s to the early 70’s when he retired after Hoover was finally pushed out in the mid 70’s. He saw the writing on the wall and got out while the getting was good. He went onto to become a lawyer and state legislator in Idaho.
So, he’s another FBI wind up toy.
