FBI fires lead agent in Gov. Whitmer Kidnapping case

JTN-

The FBI agent credited with thwarting the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been fired from the agency after domestic violence allegations were levied against him.

According to The Detroit News, Special Agent Richard Trask was fired last week while awaiting trial on charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm and allegations that he beat his wife’s head against a nightstand following an argument caused by a swingers party they attended.

The firing of the law enforcement officer comes amid questions concerning potential misconduct by the FBI during the kidnapping investigation, and whether as many as 12 informants were driving the alleged conspiracy.  more

  1. So he leads a bogus investigation. He goes to swingers parties. But it takes strike three before getting fired?

The railroad job of the Whitmer case should have done it. A swingers party? Was that his first one? Even going to one certainly shows poor judgement.

How could an FBI agent even be allowed to go anywhere near a politically sensitive investigation after making the comments he did. This guy should have been gone long before he assaulted his wife.

The FBI needs to be disbanded. They are a politically motivated strike force for a political party. Even their highly touted laboratory has a shady past.

He was one of their dirt bag informants. A woman beater. Real tuff guy. Typical FBI

  3. With all the corruption being exposed at ALL levels of the FBI, I believe this is the first one I remember seeing canned for bad behavior.
    – He must be REALLY bad
    – We need a LOT more house cleaning
    – All people entrapped by this guy should be freed
    – The whole 1/6 debacle smells every bit as bad as the Whitmer case

    Free the 1/6 political prisoners
